Is Maridoship legitimate? Our platform review
Is Maridoship legitimate? You are asking the seller, so the useful answer is a list of things you can check without us, plus an honest account of where you can still lose money.
Is Maridoship legitimate? The short answer
A scam takes your money and gives you nothing, or lies about what you are buying. We cannot prove a negative, and we are the vendor, so do not take our word for it. We can show what is checkable and what is not. Maridoship is a trading name of a registered company that sells rule-based trading software. Your money goes to a licensed broker, not to us. The software does not use quantum computing, and it cannot predict prices. Trading with it can lose you money, including all of your deposit.
How we wrote this review
We used only information we can point to: our company record, how our own product behaves, the published terms of brokers, and the public websites of other providers. Every figure about a competitor carries a source and a date. Where something is not published, we say so instead of guessing. We use no testimonials, because we have none we can verify.
Facts you can check yourself
- The company. Quantum Software Technologies Ltd, trading as Maridoship, registered in England and Wales, number 14209581, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Look it up on Companies House and check that the name and number match.
- The broker. Its regulator and licence number are in the broker table below, with a link to the public register. Check the entry matches.
- The addresses.
maridoship.ioandapp.maridoship.io. Nothing else is ours. - The connection. This site uses TLS 1.3. A padlock proves a connection is private, not that a site is honest.
- The complaints route. [email protected], with a formal acknowledgement within 48 business hours.
What Maridoship is not
It is not a broker, bank, dealer or financial adviser, and it does not hold your money. It is not itself regulated, and we do not say it is; the brokers are. The word “quantum” appears only in the legal name of the operating company. It is not an investment scheme, and it pools nobody's money. It promises no result.
What it does
You choose the markets, how much of your account to risk on each trade (1% to 5%) and where each trade should stop or close. The software reads order-book depth using ordinary statistics and places orders inside those limits through your broker. A Halt Execution button stops new orders in one click. For UK retail clients the product covers forex, indices and commodity CFDs only; crypto CFDs are not offered to them.
Maridoship fees, honestly
The software and registration cost £0. You still pay the spread on every trade, which the broker sets and which moves with liquidity, and your bank or broker may add fees of its own. The minimum deposit is $250 AUD · £250 GBP · €250 EUR · $250 CAD · $250 NZD · $250 SGD. That money is yours and stays liquid, but it is exposed to market risk. Because brokers pay us, the true cost of trading is the spread plus any fees. “Free” describes the software, not the activity.
Withdrawals
You can ask for any amount up to your full balance at any time. Maridoship applies no lock-up, no holdback and no withdrawal fee. The broker reviews requests within 24 business hours, and funds clear in 1 to 3 business days by bank transfer or by card. Those are usual service levels, not promises of speed, and your broker's terms are the ones that bind, so read them before you deposit. Banks add delays of their own, so test the route early with a small withdrawal. If one is slower than the times above, contact the broker first and then write to us.
The unglamorous bits
Most reviews of automated tools spend their time on the interface and the claims. We think four dull questions matter more. Who holds the money? Who can you complain to? What does it cost on a bad day? What happens if you want to stop? Software with a good answer to each is easier to trust than software with a handsome dashboard. We answer all four on this page, and the answers match those on our Home, About and Registration pages, because they do not change from page to page.
We have also left things out on purpose. There is no profit chart, no list of happy customers and no leaderboard, because we cannot show any of them honestly. If you came looking for those, this is the wrong page and probably the wrong kind of product.
Executing brokers and their loss rates
| Market | Executing broker | Regulator and licence | Retail loss rate (broker's own figure) | Broker terms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited | FCA · 208159 Check the register | 58.9% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited (as of 2024-01-01). Source | Fees · Withdrawal terms |
Each broker above publishes the share of its retail accounts that lose money when trading CFDs. Read that figure first. It describes the broker, not our software, and it is a fair guide to what most people experience.
How Maridoship compares
People ask how Maridoship stacks up against well-known platforms such as eToro, Kraken Pro and Capital.com. They are different kinds of product: those are brokers or exchanges, and Maridoship is software that works through a broker. So we compare only public, checkable criteria: minimum deposit, regulation, fees and withdrawal terms. Each row below comes from that provider's own website on the date shown. Where it is not published, we say so. Terms differ by country and change over time, so check the source before you rely on a row.
| Provider (source link) | Minimum deposit | Regulation | Fees | Withdrawals | Retrieved |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maridoship (software) | $250 AUD · £250 GBP · €250 EUR · $250 CAD · $250 NZD · $250 SGD | The software vendor is not regulated; executing brokers are (see the broker table) | £0 for the software; broker spreads apply | Broker review within 24 business hours; clears in 1 to 3 business days | This page |
| eToro | Not stated on its fees page | Names CySEC (licence 109/10), FCA (FRN 583263), ASIC (licence 491139) and others | CFDs: opening/closing spread of 1% per trade on crypto CFDs and 0.15% on stock and ETF CFDs; overnight fees vary by asset | $5 fee on USD accounts, free on local-currency accounts (GBP, EUR, DKK); minimum $30 on USD accounts; processing time not stated | |
| Kraken Pro | Not stated on its fee-schedule page | Not named on the pages checked; it says regulatory status differs by jurisdiction | Spot trading: maker 0.40% and taker 0.80% at the lowest tier, down to 0.00% and 0.05% at the highest | Fees can change; processing times not stated on the page | |
| Capital.com (UK site) | Not stated on its UK home page | Names the FCA, registration number 793714 | Earns through spreads on executed trades; states no deposit or withdrawal fees | No withdrawal fee stated; processing times not stated on the page |
Limitations and risks
- You can lose everything you deposit. Each broker’s own retail loss rate is in the table above.
- Rules are not foresight. A rule that fits past prices can fail on new ones, and simulations are not a guide to real results.
- Stops are not walls. A price can gap past a stop-loss, and you can lose more than you planned on one trade.
- Spreads are a drag. Frequent trading pays the spread many times over.
- Technology fails. Software, brokers, banks and connections can all go down.
- Our incentive. We are paid when someone opens a live account. Weigh that when you read us.
- Availability. Access is restricted in some countries, and trading is offered only where a licensed broker serves your country.
The full list is in the Risk Disclosure.
Who should not use it
Anyone who cannot afford to lose the deposit, who needs the money soon, who wants a sure thing or who does not understand how CFDs work. If losing the minimum deposit would upset you, do not deposit it.
How to judge any trading platform
- Find the company on an official registry and check that the name matches.
- Find the broker's licence on the regulator's own register, not on the platform's say-so.
- Walk away from promised returns, celebrity endorsements, countdown timers and pressure to deposit quickly.
- Read the withdrawal terms before the deposit terms.
- Test a small withdrawal early.
Verdict
Maridoship is a disclosed, checkable software service that sits on top of licensed brokers. It is not a way to make money without risk, and nothing here is advice. If the facts above hold up when you check them and you can afford the risk, you may register. If not, you have lost nothing by reading.
